Week 2, here we go. With another great turnout, customs this week impressed just as much, if not more, as our first. Various hosts stepped up with things to play and I'm sure as the games go on, we'll see even more variety. If you want to host, talk to me ahead of time and earn my trust, because I'm always looking to hand host around.
Game 1: Team Slayer on Orbit
First on the three-game setup was a collaborated forge by Slytacular and Sgt Fooser, entitled Orbit. A very fitting name, the combat focused around the center dish and provided lots of action.
An overview of the center.
Flanked.
No yoink here.
Game 2: Sky Slayer on Sky Battle
Second up was an insanely fun minigame created by Headsplosion667 in which teams, spawning on opposite floating platforms, make use of infinite jetpacks and swords to create some of the most interesting air combat I've seen in Halo: Reach.
Teams, take your positions.
Sword blocked!
Red gets sent flying. Well, he continues flying. But now he's dead... and flying.
Game 2: Invasion Prometheus on Prometheus
Finally, my major project I undertook mere days ago, a three-stage Invasion map. Starting off in the caves, the humans push forward after planting a bomb at one of two points into the open area after the cave. Neither team got past this second phase, with a challenging bomb site in the center.
The Elites' cave wall.
Spartans push forward into the crossfire.
All we need is a bomb.
Bomb detonated, move on to phase two.
One of the phase two spawn hives. Also, the mysterious phase three (which is currently undergoing a makeover that no one has seen) lies beyond that wall.
Well that wraps it up for this week. Thank you to all involved. We had tons of fun and look forward to event number three, which will be posted shortly.
